Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Laminating sheets and markers will allow me to plan more hands-on activities for my students in math class. By participating in hands-on-activities, students will be more engaged in math class. In my math class I regularly utilize such instructional strategies as card sorts where students match correspond cards with their group member and take turns whereas students work together to create a math representation using the combined data that the students have. By laminating these materials, it will allow students to write their work directly on the cards then erase it so that other students can complete the same work with the same materials. Without a laminator, this process is not possible and hands-on learning activities are less frequent as a result.
