My Students

Our school focuses on creating a nurturing, safe and professional environment that supports educational success as well as the social, emotional and physical development of all students. We work to build trust, establish relationships, and are attentive to the educational, cultural, and physical needs of our students.

I am a special education teacher whose goal is to create a warm classroom environment, conducive to learning and fostering their social-emotional growth.

We are aware that no two students learn the same way, and that their all unique, and that's what makes them so special. They're more than just test scores, they're future doctors, lawyers, politicians. The possibilities are endless, as long as they continue to believe in themselves as much as I do.

My Project

Mindfulness, clarity, and the state of being present. Goals that we as adults strive to achieve. Help me help my students bring yoga and mindful breathing into our classroom!

Benefits of Yoga in the Classroom:

-It provides students healthy ways to balance their emotions and manage stress.

-It creates a calm classroom environment.

-It improves students’ listening skills.

-It encourages children to respect themselves as well as others.

-Eases anxiety and stress

-Enhances focus, concentration, and memory

The 12 yoga mats requested will allow my students to sit comfortably on the floor, without worrying about getting dirty! Additionally, the sensory toys and desk fidget bands will allow my students to kids to channel their "fidget energy" will help my children to focus and to perform at their very best!
