My Project

While doing an experiment in testing the rolling of balls, students had a lot of difficulty with our current classroom measuring tapes. First, I would like them to use the metric system, and not the imperial system, since metric is the more scientific option. Since inches were the larger measurement, that is what they were gravitating to. Second, our tests was going farther than our current measuring tapes, so students were having to constantly move the tape and then add the two together. While this is great practice in math, it was adding additional time to the process and taking away from the focus of our investigation.

Help us measure more efficiently and accurately with longer distance, retractable measuring tools.

In addition, we also discovered that all of our timer batteries were dead, so need to replace them as well.
