My Students

I have a wonderful class of second graders in Oregon! They are sweet, caring, and full of life! They love learning and truly enjoy taking in new information. I teach in a high-poverty area, where 75% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunches. After the last year and a half of distance learning during a pandemic, we are back in the classroom and thriving!

We are a community in our classroom, working together and supporting each other every day.

My students come from a variety of different economic and cultural backgrounds. My students speak many different languages, have various interests, and have diverse learning styles.

My Project

I am always looking to add a variety of new books to our classroom library. I love exposing my students to new books. It expands their interests and introduces them to topics or stories that they might not have otherwise been interested in.

I've chosen books that will provide my students with a more diverse selection of topics and characters.

My students love reading and love having so many different types of books to choose from! Having these books added to my classroom library will provide even more books for my students. It's so fun to see their love of reading continue to grow and grow as they search our classroom library for the next book they will read.
