Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items I’m requesting will give my students hands-on tools to explore and understand key concepts in science, math, and engineering. These materials will help them move beyond worksheets and textbooks, allowing them to build, experiment, and solve real-world problems. For example, building kits or lab supplies will help them learn about energy, circuits, and design by creating their own models. This approach makes learning more engaging and helps them see the practical applications of what they’re studying.

My main goal is to spark curiosity and encourage critical thinking.

I want my students to feel confident solving problems, working as a team, and exploring new ideas. By using these hands-on materials, I hope to create a classroom where students are excited to ask questions, experiment, and discover how the world works. Ultimately, I want them to leave with skills they can use in the future and a lasting love for learning.

My students are incredibly curious and creative, always eager to learn new things and try out their ideas. Many come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our classroom. Despite facing challenges like limited access to resources, they are hardworking and enthusiastic about learning. They inspire me every day with their determination and potential, and I want to provide them with the tools they deserve to reach their goals.
