A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My classroom is made up of 23 very diverse and energetic first graders. My students come from all over the world and their home lives are all different.
My students are in need of Scholastic News for Kids.
They are beginning their reading journey and need fun, engaging-non fiction stories.
With Scholastic News, my students will learn how amazing non fiction is and how much more they can learn through reading non fiction items. Scholastic News will also help me introduce and teach across the core subjects.
My Project
Scholastic news comes in very handy when teaching because we can use it throughout all subjects. My students will be using the magazines during their independent reading and also with the whole class.
As my students grow in their reading level, they will be able to share their learning at home and read independently while at home!
My students love learning and love when they find out that the things are real. We would use the different topics in Scholastic News to further our wondering about the world and continue to question the different things they see and learn each day.
