Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic and eager leaners whose parents are hardworking and caring first and second generation immigrants who often struggle to achieve the American dream. They attend a public school that serves a community with economic problems and unfortunately, their parents are often unable to provide extra resources like technology. As teachers, we would like our learners to have the same opportunities and experiences as students in well-off communities. These robots will motivate my students, and hence provide our students with a complete and comprehensive learning experience.

My Project

My students love hands-on, engaging activities, and cooperative learning. I have 20 students that have many diverse learning needs that can be a challenge at times. With this iPad, my students will take advantage of coding through the Wonder Workshop Robot Wonder Pack, coding Apps, and coding activities that will boost problem-solving skill through coding, stimulate language comprehension, and increase self-esteem and self-confidence.

The iPad will allow my students to use and connect with coding to the Wonder Workshop Robot Wonder Pack App which is open-ended and discovery-oriented learning tool.

In addition, it will enhance technology use in our classroom. The iPad will also give opportunities for disadvantaged students in my class who are not able to have this technology at home.
