Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students come from low-income households, and many of them don't have access to breakfast before coming to school. Because of this, snacks are essential to keep them focused and energized throughout the day. In addition to food, there are other basic classroom supplies we desperately need—cleaning supplies to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment and phone chargers to ensure students can stay connected and keep their devices charged for their schoolwork. Unfortunately, our district does not provide funding for these vital items and I have spent thousands out-of-pocket.

With your support, we can provide these essential resources that help our students feel cared for, focused, and ready to learn.
