This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, I teach my students the basics of culinary arts. I teach lessons about all types of cooking methods. Within these methods, they connect sometimes to different subjects such as Math and Science. One of the methods we'd like to include is microwaving.

Due to not having a microwave, we cannot implement molecular gastronomy and teach students about molecular gastronomy.

With a microwave, I can teach my students about molecular gastronomy. And we can also use this microwave and method of cooking in the culinary academy we have in the school. It'll make our cooking experience with the academy simpler, as well as be able to teach the students how to use a microwave and molecular gastronomy. Many students today do not know what "molecular gastronomy" is and do not know what it is, having a microwave provided can introduce students to a new development and show them as well as teach them what it is so they are able to do make things at home using the microwave, as well as them learning what molecular gastronomy is. Many deserts are created with molecular gastronomy and can create many things by a microwave, as well as teaching how to use a microwave.
