My Students

This past year, my sixth, seventh and eighth grade students learned in a completely digital setting. Only about ten percent of my students returned by in person to learn for the last two months of school. I want to focus on giving help to meet my students' social and emotional learning needs. This means promoting a fun atmosphere that encourages our youth to participate in group sports with their peers.

I strive to empower all my students to grow and be the best that they can be.

I want to give my students a great educational experience and have a fun experience in our physical education program! All of my students are eligible to receive both the school breakfast and lunch daily for free. Most of our school population takes public transportation. We serve a very large and diverse ESOL population.

My Project

Going back in September, we have learned that everyone will return back to school wearing a mask. Teaching inside in a large gym with multiple classes and wearing a mask is a combination for a disaster. The wireless microphone headset will neatly tuck under my mask so that I will be able to communicate clearly to my students.

Students will receive valuable instruction that they might not otherwise hear or even know was being given.

After teaching summer school, I realize just how much people rely on reading lips. The wireless microphone headset will greatly improve classroom instruction both indoors and outside.
