This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a kindergarten teacher, I want to ensure that my students have the best opportunities for outdoor play and physical activity during both recess and lunch recess. Unfortunately, we don't currently have an easy way to organize and transport the toys and equipment we need for outdoor play. I’m requesting a storage cart to help keep all our outdoor play materials organized and easy to move. The cart will allow us to safely store toys like balls, a bowling set, walking Stilts, a toss and catch ball set, chalk, and more, while easily rolling everything out to the playground during both recesses. This will ensure that recess is always filled with exciting, engaging activities that help my students stay active, work on teamwork, and enjoy their time outside.

In addition to the cart, we are in need of various outdoor toys to keep my students entertained and active.

These toys will support physical activity, creativity, and fun, while helping my students build motor skills and work together. The materials will be used throughout the year during both recess and lunch recess.

Recess is a crucial part of the school day, and my students need this time to socialize, exercise, and take a break from classroom activities. Without the proper equipment and an easy way to store and transport it, recess can become disorganized and not as enjoyable. With your support, we can provide my students with an organized, active and fun recess every day.
