Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Growing up in a low-income community, many of our students do not have access to a vegetable garden. Many of them have not had the experience of growing vegetables from seed and caring for a garden.

What better way to learn about nutrition than by caring for our school garden?

They would be responsible for starting the veggies from seed, watering and maintaining the garden until we can harvest our crops.

Materials will be used to clean the old debris and prepare the soil for our new seedlings in the garden stand. When our vegetables are ready, we will be eating them together!
