Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of the students at my school are concerned about their environment.

I am teaching a new class called Green Studies and started a club at the school called "Green Team"

We are starting a recycling program for paper and plastic bottles along with cleaning up the school. We need bins and clear bags for all the teachers classrooms to collect the recycling. We also need trash pickers for the students to pick up trash and items for our compost pile. There is going to be a reward system to get the word out about how important our mission is. We need a decal tree for monitoring our process and reward stickers. I also asked for green lanyards so the students can have special passes around their next so teachers know why they are out of the classroom. We are working with Dream in Green to make our school as green as possible. We have so many projects we want to work on and our recycling program is at the top of our list.
