My Students

In the world today, access to technology equates to opportunity. In my classroom my goal is to offer as much opportunity for my students as possible. My students, a diverse group of learners from many cultural and language backgrounds, love to learn, and technology is a gateway to learning!

My students come to our Title I school from families who have often just moved to the United States.

They come from many socio-economic strata and represent a wide-breadth of learning needs and styles. My school embraces, above all else, the process of learning through doing and the benefit that tackling real-world problems in the classroom can have on students' learning process. The teachers at my school use a variety of strategies to engage students in this process of inquiry which makes our school a very special place. We are a community, but we need resources to succeed.

My Project

My students will use these Chromebooks to engage in personalized blended learning and project-based learning with technology. With these six computers we will be closer to the goal of having a 1-to-1 classroom. These computers will enrich their learning.

I believe that having access to technology is essential to giving my students a fair shot at college and career readiness.

What's more, I believe that having access to computers can transform an educational environment, especially considering the language and learning needs that are present in my classroom. This project can help to make real and positive change happen for my students.
