This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Hello Donors! We are part of an NYC Outward Bound School. We use the EL Education model, which has its roots in Outward Bound. We are a diverse and respectful community committed to developing students and staff who are kind, open-minded, persistent, responsible, and courageous.

My co-teacher and I are in need of supplies to help us start and complete the school year for our 120+ incoming 11th graders; We are asking for a vacuum to keep the classroom clean, an instant photo printer to take pictures of students and hang them on the wall to build community and memories and microphones for our family history podcast unit.

With support from peers, staff, families, and school partners, students engage in challenging academic and social experiences. Having these supplies will better prepare both the teachers and the students in a fun and engaging classroom.
