My Project

My sixth-grade students are amazing young people that crave engaging texts and resources to learn about ancient history. With the addition of Scholastic News and Scholastic Scope, my students would have multimedia access to a wide variety of topics while supplementing their literacy skills. My students have used these resources before, but many of the texts are old and currently unavailable. Having an active subscription to these materials would mean that my students have access to some of the newest and most relevant content possible.

My students love to show their newfound knowledge in Interactive Notebooks.

Unfortunately, many families at our Title I school are unable to provide the necessary materials for these activities. By providing scissors, notebooks, and headphones, students would have everything they need to work independently and demonstrate their content knowledge.
