Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 4th grade learners who try their best at all times. They come to class enthusiastic about learning and curious about all subject matters. They have various different backgrounds and always bring interesting information about their culture and beliefs. I love that my ENL (English as a New Language) students have a positive attitude towards learning and an ability to think and work independently. They also work well in groups and persevere to complete tasks. I enjoy seeing my students' academic growth and success.

My Project

A magnetized easel will keep my students involved while learning and will help them stay engaged. An easel will also allow me to plan and to make my teaching easier. I will be using my easel to teach, make charts, show visuals and much more. My school has a diverse population and in my classroom I have different learners with unique learning styles. I'm an ENL teacher so I have the privilege of teaching students that speak English as a second language. Last year I moved to my recent classroom and noticed that my easel is not in its best working condition and it's not magnetized. It has been challenging to use this easel but I try my best at all times.

How can you help me?

Your help will ensure that my students have a valuable teaching tool in the classroom. It will also benefit every child that I teach. I will be able to demonstrate important skills that my students need in order to succeed academically in 4th grade. I'm looking forward to have the possibility of getting a working easel in my classroom. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our diverse students.
