This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students will get the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of volleyball while becoming competitive in the sport with the hopes of qualifying for athletic scholarships.

Volleyball helps to develop physical skills such as hand and eye coordination and overall physical fitness.

Volleyball will help build confidence in a population of kids that lack self confidence, encourage healthy competition, respect for opponents and strategic thinking.

All of these principles can be used outside of the game of volleyball.

Volleyball is a fun sport that will keep our children off the streets after school.
