This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been teaching ELA in Title I schools for ten years. My students have always loved to read, but we seem to hit a road block every year. The library books are constantly outdated and this turns kids off from reading. We spent some time in the public library this year to make sure my students always had high interest books

We are a Title I school and exhaust our resources every year.

My students love to read and I want to provide them with exposure to new books in order to build engagement and feed their love of books. In order to do so we need help!

My Project

Noise canceling can change the classroom environment and meet the needs of my students. My ICT class is made up of students with many different needs. A number of my students struggle to focus during independent work time. These headphones will help give them the opportunity to complete their work distraction free. I also have students that need soothing music to calm down, these headphones will provide those students with a sense of calm. Our students face many challenges throughout the day, if we can make there day just a little easier by meeting their needs then they have a greater opportunity to be successful.
