My Project

Headphones are an essential tool in our 8th grade language arts classroom.

In addition to helping my students focus on their work and block out distractions from other students in the room, headphones have allowed my students to listen to educational content at their own pace, and rewind or pause as needed to better understand the material.

Because headphones do not last forever, there is always a constant need to replenish them. At this time we only have 5 working headphones in our classroom. While it would be ideal for each student to bring their own headphones and for headphones to last all school year, neither of those usually happens. My students use their computers daily to complete assignments and listen to audiobooks. If they cannot provide their own pair or they break, then they are unable to use their device properly. My students need these headphones to be successful.
