Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are all diagnosed with speech and language impairment and learning disabilities. In addition, I work with many English Language Learners. Many students come from low income households and purchasing school supplies may not be possible for the family. My students are motivated and enthusiastic to learn! However, they typically come to school and speech therapy very hungry and tired, and often without the essential school supplies. Providing my students with snacks has been helpful to increasing their focus, cooperation, and motivation. However, this gets quite costly as I have to purchase snacks frequently throughout the school year. In addition, essential cleaning supplies such as Clorox wipes and dry erase markers will enable me to keep the therapy room clean and provide supplies needed for teaching and learning. Your donation will enable me to provide snacks and essential supplies to my hard-working students!
