Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Nikki Grimes argues that in order to move forward, sometimes it's best to reflect on the past. Her book "One Last Word" takes the incredible poetry of the Harlem Renaissance and uses it to inspire her modern poems.

We will get to read a collection of amazing poetry--and learn about the Harlem Renaissance at the same time!

Your generous donation will provide books for each scholar in my junior high class. This curriculum is engaging, inspirational, and deeply impacts student learning. We're ready to learn--we just need the books!
