Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our scholars shine both in and out of the classroom! They are funny, talented, witty and resourceful middle schoolers. They enjoy performing in various clubs such as drumline, Broadway Junior musicals, step, cheerleading, and band. Many have never left the South Bronx and some have never left their block.

Curiosity, perseverance, and collaboration are some of the many strengths of our scholars.

It is common to see them help one another in the lunchroom, hallways or schoolyard. Our scholars may be under-served but they have a TON of HEART!

My Project

We're putting on a show! Our super scholars have been hard at work both onstage and backstage putting up a production of Schoolhouse Rock LIVE! Jr.

Because it is an educational show with songs like "Just a Bill", "Conjunction Junction" and "Three is the Magic Number", we thought it would be fun to give each student in our audience a pencil case as a welcome gift!

Help us "draw a crowd" and make our show one for the cast, crew, audiences and school community something to remember for years to come! We can't wait to share our success with you!
