My Students

Have you ever wanted to read a book but not had a large selection? Help us build our classroom library so that we have more S level books.

My students are eager to learn new things and be creative.

They enjoy reading and writing. My school is a Title one school in New York City and my students get free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students are English as a second language learners. My fourth grade class has 32 children of different abilities and they love school.

My Project

My students read leveled books daily during reading workshop. Our classroom library is set up by level. This year I have many more students reading level S books. This makes the selection much more limited. It is important to give students choice when selecting books so that they are interested in what they are reading and motivated to read more. Please help to improve our S level fiction and non-fiction library. These books, including, Brothers in Hope, Louis Armstrong, Van Gogh Café, will be just right for my students and help to improve their reading and allow them to practice their reading skills daily.

Please help to add to our classroom library.

These new books will help to foster a love of reading and build excitement over books. My students will get to practice their reading skills and improve their reading.
