My Students

We are a NAESP school and my students are multicultural and come from various backgrounds. Many have varied world experiences and we need a library update in order to achieve the 40 book challenge. Students need to be surrounded with books of all kinds and given the opportunity to read them. Reading needs to be an ongoing event and multiples copies and genres are needed to accomplish this goal . I hope to inspire a love for reading in my Fifth grade students this year by taking on this challenge.

My Project

I am challenging my students to read 40 books this school year. In order to accomplish this task I need to surround my students with many books of various genres. They need this in order to find books that they love, to foster a love of reading in all my students. Students will rise to their teachers expectations, I love reading and will use that to help inspire my students to do the same. Students need the ability to choose books they love to read. We require a full library in order to meet the challenge of reading 40 books.
