My Students

Our classroom is designed for exploration through research and learning, via hands-on activities. By the end of the year, I want my students to be at the forefront of a STEM education.

Each student is unique in his/her own way, which makes learning that much more special.

My students love learning about the ever-changing world of science, and are captured by the fact that every day brings new discoveries in science. The school is a welcoming environment, that encourages higher-level learning, while supporting students at every step. The school houses over 1,400 middle school students, who come from different ethnic backgrounds. In order to strengthen their learning experience, I want my students to utilize all the possible resources I can provide for them.

My Project

Various supplies are needed in order to build our STEM Lab, a space where students can be innovators and engineer designs through the world of science, technology, arts and mathematics. We tell students to be creative, but that requires students having access to the most basic supplies.

We cannot limit our students creativity to a few supplies.

With basic supplies like tape, markers, paper, and calculators, these engineers will be able to create the next big thing. This year I want my students to understand the environmental issues that surround the world today. What contraption can they create to protect the ozone layer? What can we do to reduce water waste? How can be build a sustainable garden? In order to tackle these problems, my scientists-in-training need the right tools!
