Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

These items will help my super sweet autistic students throughout their day. Building a calming corner in the classroom will enable them to have a safe place to unwind quickly as to not lose instruction time.

In addition, communication is a huge need of my students.

The charts will help them to communicate as will help them to not become frustrated.

Visual timers and schedules are very important when teaching children with disabilities.vvIf they can see what their expectations are their chance of being successful increase. The individual schedules will be placed on their desks so they can participate in moving the schedule throughout the day.
