Help Us Build Our Number Sense With Math Manipulatives

Help me give my students Unifix Cubes and Tanagram activity cards to help build number sense.

My Students

Our students are amazing. They are active and eager to learn. They are curious about everything, whether it be a new word or a rogue cricket that happens to wander into our classrooms. Our students are bright, resourceful, and full of imagination.

We have the most amazing students around!

Our school is in a very high-poverty area where 100% of the students receive free lunch. Though our students do not have many resources at home, they come to school happy and excited to start the day. They are truly inspirational.

My Project

As we move into Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI), students are asked to not only solve problems but explain their answers. When presented with a problem, students are asked to make a plan to solve the problem, test their answers, and explain and defend their solutions. The Unifix cubes will allow my students to "see" how to add and subtract larger numbers. The Tangram Cards will help them to develop their geometric awareness.

Your donation will make an enormous impact on my students, especially those that are struggling in math.

My students will enjoy the math manipulatives and the Tangram cards. They will use them to solve math problems and develop number sense.
