My Project

I am building a classroom library specific to my students' varying reading levels. Every child deserves access to multiple options for books they can read for challenge and enjoyment.

Having a more complete library will allow me to have reading stations to support the individual reading growth of each student in my classroom.

The books chosen for our library reflect the individual interests and cultures in our classroom. I've requested so many amazing books, including the I Survived and Cat Ninja series, sports graphic novels and Sparks! (the cutest graphic novel about cats who pretend to be a dog).

My students receive direct, individualized reading instruction in the science of reading methods and will use our library of books to practice fluency and read for enjoyment. I believe that reading a book to completion inspires confidence and growth in literacy for life.
