Help us Bring our Class to Life with Color!

Help me give my students a printer so that we can access color in our classroom. Having color will enable us to access the curriculum as well as provide visual supports for students in need.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are first grade students that are eager to learn! They are curious, energetic and thrive on hands-on learning. They are a very diverse class all with individual needs. They are hard workers who deserve the necessities to be successful. I have a variety of learners with and without disabilities. My students need visual supports as well as sensory tools in order to be successful in an inclusion setting.

My classroom is a place where ALL students can learn no matter what.

I plan with students' strengths and weaknesses in mind so that I am meeting their maximum learning potential. My students come from all over the city of Boston and have a wide range of backgrounds. It is my job to give them the education that they deserve and to develop lifelong habits for learning.

My Project

Help my students access color that will improve learning in our classroom. We take color for granted and having a color printer will enable our class to access the curriculum as well as provide supplemental materials that we need to learn. Having a color printer is crucial in the special education in the classroom. Teachers print materials on a daily basis that help students be successful. Having vivid color for anchor charts, sight words, reading and math will help students learn and keep them engaged.

Having a color printer will also support inclusion students who need anchor charts and well as other visuals for them to be successful.

Students with disabilities rely on visuals to support learning. These visuals not only help with academics but also help with social emotional skills such as self regulation. Having a visual to help students calm down will not only help a student but will also make them ore successful in the inclusion classroom.
