This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been doing significant self-study in community schools, growth mindset, and SEL throughout the years. I have been interested in the Breathe for Change training for many years, and saw they are running a promotion for Teacher Appreciation Week this year, which cuts the price almost in half! I know that this training will help me to equip my students and their families with SEL and mindfulness skills that can help them to achieve their academic and personal goals. 3rd grade is a great year for students to begin to become invested in their scholarly success, and I really want to ensure that they are developed as whole individuals ready to take on college and career when they leave our school system.

Mental health support is possibly the biggest need in our school systems today.

The Breathe for Change training is one way that I can do my part to ensure that I am meeting the diverse needs of all my learners.
