Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students love to paint. They ask to paint at the easel nearly everyday during their free choice time. Often we have to say no, because we do not have the time for the prep and clean up that is involved with traditional tempera paints. The tempera cakes and quick sticks allow for low prep and minimal clean up. With the tempera cakes, students are able to fill their own water cup and get right to painting without waiting for an adult to have time to get it ready. The tempera sticks are even easier, water is not even required. We would also love to have a new easel that allows for four students to paint at once. The easels that we have currently are not sturdy. They have fallen apart and have been put back together a few times already. The easel we are requesting is strong and sturdy and would be a much safer piece of furniture in our classroom.
