My Students

These are unprecedented and scary times for all of us, but imagine how the students feel. I never imagined that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, the year is not over yet! We are learning from a distance!

My students and I have embarked on the distance learning journey!

We are actively engaging in all sorts of different online platforms and learning new things. My students and I participate three times a week in Zoom meetings to go over new material, and to check in with each other. In addition, I am recording lessons at home for them to view and continue to learn new material. I am amazed by their level of engagement and participation, and families' willingness to try new things.

Many of my students don't have the ability to learn online. Many depend on worksheet packets and whatever books they have at home. Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners. Therefore, I am looking to print out worksheets and resources for them, laminate necessary materials, and mail it to their homes!

My Project

No pandemic will stop me from helping my students learn the skills they need to be successful in life. We are continuing to learn how to read, write, and do simple addition and subtraction. Now my living room is my classroom. Therefore, it is very important that I have the resources to help them grasp the concepts and skills they need to succeed in the next school year.

The printer and laminator will help me take distance learning to a new level!!!.

The students who struggle with online learning need tangible materials mailed to their home to ensure success!
