Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our 5th grade students are super sweet and eager to learn! Our students come from diverse backgrounds and use this diversity to enrich each other’s lives and the lives of their teachers. They are hard workers and persevere through challenges.

My Project

The neighborhood where our students live was hit hard by Covid. Many families were effected both physically and economically. We would like to provide some of the basic supplies to the students to help take the burden off their families.

Since sharing supplies isn't an option this year, we'd like to provide each student with their own pack of crayons.

These crayons will allow our students the ability to express themselves through their art. In addition, our students are amazing writers and love to enhance their writing with colorful illustrations.

These crayons will also be valuable for them to use at home during their remote days for homework/schoolwork.
