My Students

Early childhood education is the foundation. I am a Pre-K teacher in Brooklyn, NY. I have a very diverse group of students which include English language learners and students with special needs. I believe each child has the ability to learn and succeed with the proper tools and instruction.

I would love to give my students all the tools necessary to excel in elementary school.

Introducing students to an array of activities and educational games helps develop much needed emotional, academic, and social skills. You will impacting lives forever!

My Project

My class is comprised of many different types of learners. I need extra supplies to tap into each child's unique learning capabilities. I am asking for weighted stuffed animals, which will help overactive students and students with impulse control to sit on the rug or chair during a lesson. I am also requesting games that will help with following direction and improve listening and turn taking skills. I am also requesting felt board stories. Interactive stories help students become more involved in listening, learning new vocabulary and understanding a read-aloud. These are supplies that will help my students succeed and give them the tools necessary to excel this year and next year in elementary school.

I want my class to get as much out of Pre-K as possible.

In addition, my goal is to help parents learn English and become knowledgeable on ways they can help their children today and in the future! I am requesting two workbooks so I can have an aid to set up classes for my student's parents to start learning and become motivated to acquire basic English skills. My job as an early childhood educator is to help set up my students for their future in school.
