Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I teach 2 classes of 4th graders with varying reading abilities. We are part of a high energy school that prides itself on teaching students to be "life long readers".

My students and I must prepare for battle. Battle of the BOOKS...that is! We will be competing against other 3-5 grade classrooms in our school in a high stakes competition based on the Sunshine State Reader Books. But we currently only have 2 of the Sunshine State Books.

My students and I will need to prepare for battle by reading all of the Sunshine State Reader Books. We would like to have at least 2 sets of the books so that we may check them out of our classroom library.

PLEASE help us win our battle! If you donate to us, not only will you help us win, you will also be encouraging my students to read quality literature.
