Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At Tubman Elementary, a vibrant school in Columbia Heights, our students are thriving despite the challenges of being temporarily located in a former high school. Our community's dedication and spirit shine through every day, but we face a unique set of needs in our current swing space. To provide our students with the best learning environment possible, we are seeking your generous support to fund a class carpet, a portable whiteboard, and small group stools.

The addition of a class carpet will create a cozy and inviting space for group activities, storytime, and collaborative learning.

It will foster a sense of community and comfort, crucial for our young learners to engage and feel connected. The portable whiteboard will be a versatile tool, enhancing our ability to deliver dynamic lessons and facilitate interactive learning experiences across different subjects. Lastly, the small group stools will support effective small-group instruction, allowing students to work together more comfortably and participate more actively.

These essential resources will not only enhance the physical learning environment but also support improved student outcomes by making lessons more engaging and interactive. With your support, we can provide a nurturing and effective learning space that meets the needs of our diverse and enthusiastic students.
