My Project

Our high school sewing club students are getting more ambitious. They want to make projects with knits and more wearable clothes. Our donors have been so generous in the past and we have plenty of sewing machines to learn on.

However, the one type of machine we don't currently have is a serger/overlock machine, which is essential for working with wearable projects and making more professionally finished edges.

An overlock machine will help complete our suite of tools to tackle any projects the students can dream up. Learning sewing skills in high school prepare our students for a variety of future careers, hobbies and life skill situations.
