Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items that we are trying to fund will make a difference in each and every student-athlete that competes on our high school Football Team, (JV and Varsity.) These training tools will be used daily in practice in order to increase our ability to compete against the top tier teams in N.Y.C.

The items (blocking dummy, wristbands & resistance band) will help increase our players speed and agility, as well as increase the quality of equipment we have at our facility.

The goals that we have with this project are to give these student-athletes the ability to train at an elite level... A level that near by High Schools possess, but we lack.

What makes are student-athletes special is that face that we are two schools combined to play on one team. One half of our population is from a specialized HS, and must be tested into. Students come from all over the 5 boroughs in NYC. The other half of out student-athletes come from a vocational high school. This is the only Vocational High School located on Staten Island.

Our team is very diverse in race, ethnicity, religions, and learning styles. We have multiple students with I.E.Ps, and learning challenges... BUT through all and all, we all come together as one unit to make ourselves one family, and always end up very successful.
