Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the school nurse at a very diverse school. Many of our students come to school and have needs outside of the classroom. I would love to stock my clinic with items to help my students succeed and return to their classroom, where they can continue learning. Eye charts will help me identify students that might need glasses. New undergarments for my students that have bathroom accidents would be a life savor. Students will be able to quickly change into clean clothes and return to class. Our students also love getting a necklace to put their teeth in when they lose one. After they have their tooth secured in the necklace they feel confident to return to class. Many students may skip breakfast and have a hard time concentrating in class while they are hungry. I would be able to offer students a snack and help them focus in class until lunchtime. These are just a few of needs I will be able to meet with this project.
