This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Even when you've played the game of your life, it's the feeling of teamwork that you'll remember. You'll forget the plays, the shots, and the scores, but you'll never forget your teammates. When you are a coach you help kids learn lessons and have memories they will cherish their entire life.

My girls are a fun and energetic bunch of girls.

Always talking and full of life. These girls love playing softball to the point I have to chase them off the field even when it is dark. In order for you get an idea how much they love softball, there was one day that I canceled practice due to torrential down pour. And as I was leaving the school, I looked over to the softball field and these girls took it upon themselves to go and play and practice even if mother nature didn't want them to practice.

My Project

My girls will use this softball pitching machine to sharpen their hitting skills along side their fielding skills. My girls will be able to simulate fast accurate pitches while also simulating grounders, line drives, and practice certain game-like situations they may also encounter.

This project will improve my students' lives because it will help them fine tune the fundamentals of softball fielding and hitting.

Also, with this project, I am helping my girls prepare to compete at the next level of sport for when they get to high school.
