My Project

The entire Counseling Team (School Counselors, Social Worker, and interns) will use and distribute these resources to help our students regulate their emotions when they are feeling unable to cope and meet their basic needs for food and school supplies like backpacks.

Therapy workbooks will make sure our counseling interventions are evidence-based, and lamps and other furnishings like wall art will create calming spaces in offices and common areas where students come to check in with the Counseling Team.

Our students come from all over New York City (yes, ALL 5 boroughs) and from various backgrounds. We would like to make school a place where they can all feel welcome, well-adjusted, and comfortable.
