My Project

By providing our students with a needs assessment at the beginning of the school year, I am able to create therapy/support groups that align with their needs. After going through the pandemic during critical child development, students have more of a need for support than ever before. Providing groups for our high school students allows me to meet the needs of more students at one time. During group, we identify the feelings and coping skills to deal with difficult feelings. We will utilize the materials that are being requested during group meetings to explore and talk about the feelings that students are experiencing.

By providing groups to our high school students, I am able to reach more students at once and it creates a safe space among peers to talk.

Our teens need more support to know that they are not alone in their struggles.
