My Project

History in the Making

Help us give our students funding for snacks to provide 10th-12th grade students in a high-poverty school with an enriching field trip experience that will connect classroom learning to the real world.

For most of our students, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the sites; it may also be their only chance to ever leave the state of Michigan! The goal of this project is to provide our students with a meaningful field trip to Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Gettysburg. They will see many unique places such as Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, the Memorials in DC, The Smithsonian Museums, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Tour Gettysburg, visit Hershey and so much more.

This experience will give them the chance to experience the history of our country in a way books just can't explain, with tons of fun along the way! The history and government learned on this trip corresponds with the material learned in school. It is so much fun, and the memories will last a lifetime!

Our students have been hard at fundraising all year, but we still need assistance to purchase snacks and drinks for the trip.
