My Students

I am teaching mostly ELL students including dual language students from sixth to eighth grade. The majority of my students are new to the US and struggle to speak English. Around eighty percent of the students in our school are eligible to receive free meals.

My Project

My students are motivated, hard-working and smart kids who couldn't wait to come back to school. Many of them expressed to me about how much they missed their regular, face-to-face classes and how much they prefer to interact with their peers in person. As much as I am happy and excited for my students to return to my class, I fear for the short supply of masks and the cleaning and disinfecting products due to the budge cuts to the DOE. I wish to create the best learning environment that I can do to prepare my students for the upcoming, uncertain school year.
