Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our students have been more productive, healthy, and happier knowing that when they are hungry and need snacks, they can come to the clinic and their nurse can provide them with what they need. I am so blessed to have found out about DonorChoose because as you are well aware, the budgets in schools are slim and most staff purchase supplies, snacks etc. with their own money. Our students do better with classroom work and testing when they are not thinking about being hungry. I have also been able to send snacks home with children so they can have an afternoon snack when they get home. I need more snacks so I can make packets for our students to take home.

Providing items that our children need is so vital.

Personal hygiene is important also. I want to be able to provide products for them here at school and at home if they need it. Our student are from low income families and we want to do everything we can to help them.
