Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students must be healthy in order to be educated, and educated to be healthy. As a school nurse, we are provided a very small budget to provide the necessary supplies to provide care for our students. School nurses play a vital part in ensuring the health and safety of students, which overall leads to better attendance. Serving an urban school, many of our students live at or below poverty, or in group homes and cannot afford the basic medical or hygiene supplies.

These supplies will allow for students to have access to necessary care supplies.

The supplies will be used for students in need and provide the ability to send needed supplies home with those in need.
