Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a class of middle school special needs students with autism and intellectual disabilities. They are preparing to transition to high school and much of our day-to-day classwork is wrapped in both academic and social-emotional learning.
These students are incredibly special in more ways than one, and deserve access to the tools they need to help them succeed!
Considerate and thoughtful, each child cares deeply about the others (and teachers) in class. Curious about learning, they love to ask questions and know more about everything they're studying!
My Project
My special needs middle school students in the South Bronx deserve access to the same technology their counterparts have elsewhere in the city. Because of your generous donations, five tablets were fully funded in less than 48 hours last month.
Now I need your help so that every student in my class has access to technology to help them learn!
These students are incredibly special to me. They are kind, sweet, intelligent, funny, wonderful young people. Having access to technology in our classroom will help prepare them for high school and beyond!
