Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in poverty are shown that they will become nothing, that this is the best for them, that no one cares about them. Having students who are in the Special Education program have an added disadvantage. At our school we try to change this mindset of our students. We spend a lot of our personal money getting our classrooms ready and getting school supplies because the families cannot afford them, and by providing clothes and food when needed.

My kids are dear to my heart and I refuse to let them leave my class thinking that no one cares for them. But I cannot do it alone. I need your help to make my classroom more friendly and organized for these wonderful children. Your contribution will show that other people also care about them. Thank you in advance.

My Project

These materials will help my special education students close gaps and become closer to their peer's level. The teaching materials will allow them to have reading and writing material on their levels so they can get the concept. This will also help them become more fluent.

Not every student can learn at the same time, we need to meet the student on their level.

By donating to this project you will help me move my students to new levels. There are times that these students act out because they feel embarrassed or "not smart" and this is not true. Please help my special education students not "fall through the cracks."
