Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special education students in a high needs, poverty stricken area. They value their education and need materials to help their love of learning grow.

My students are special education students but you would not be able to tell when looking into our classroom.

My students thrive on learning new things. Everyday our classroom is filled with students busily working. Our school has a positive environment that fosters students learning and growth. The school does its best to give the students what the need.

My Project

We are no longer allowed to keep charts hanging around the classroom but my students frequently reference them to help assist them in their independent learning. The chart stand will create a place in the classroom where the students can reference the charts they need. Because my students are so busy working and learning new things we are running out of ways to keep our materials organized. The storage bins will help us keep math and science manipulatives organized in a functional way. The printer ink and copy paper will be used for students to print their research and writing work that they complete on the computers.

Donations towards this project will allow my students to receive materials and resources they need to keep their learning on track.

The students will be more independent and responsible for their learning with the requested materials.
